Before continuing with my post about the possible timeline of pictured books, I have to ask you to forgive me for the delay in updating this series. Time has been a bit short for these days for me, but my passion for the subject is still intact.
Dr. Dolittle is a series of books orillinally written and illustrated by English-born American author Hugh Lofting, Originally published in 1920. These novels that tell the adventures of a man who learns to talk to animals, becoming her savior and friend worldwide, acquired public domain status in the United States in 1996 and since 1998 in other countries. Since then, several publishers have been printing both the original version, as several revised editions with new illustrations. This story is considered a classic of English literature.
