This classic of children's literature is the first children’s novel by English-American author Margery Williams Bianco, and illustrated by English artist William Nicholson. This chronicles is a story of a stuffed rabbit and his quest to become real through the love of his owner. It was first published in 1922, and has been republished many times since.
The Velveteen Rabitt was Williams Bianco first American book. It became an instant classic and has remained so through numerous adaptations in children's theater as well as on radio, television and in the movies.
