This book is a collection of Scandinavian fairy tales illustred by the Danish illustrator Kay Rasmus Nielsen. This incredible volume consists of fifteen short stories, originally published in 1914 and recently reissued by Calla Editions.
Kay Rasmus Nielsen (March 12, 1886 - June 21, 1957) was a well-known Danish illustrator on early twentieth century, "In the golden age of illustration". A part of the illustrations on this book, much of his work focused on the tales of the Brothers Grimm.
Along with Arthur Rackham and Edmund Dulac, Nielsen was part of the greatest illustrators on the book history. This artist is also known for his work for Disney industries.
